Trains, trains, trains

Here's the reason I didn't post anything yesterday---too much drama. I had to take Lucas in for his check-up and on the way inside Grace fell somehow. Still not sure how it happened. "I lose my balance, Mommy." I didn't even realize how bad it was until we got into the waiting area and noticed her knee was all bloody. Ugh! That coupled with Lucas's 3 shots were enough to do me in.
The knee up close. Looking better.

And today.....
Did you know that I spoil my kids? I just can't help myself. It's a problem. I blame my parents because I didn't have enough toys. Convenient, huh? Of course I'm only kidding. I have no one to blame but myself. The latest accessory:
A train set for Lucas and well, Grace too. Lucas has really become interested in cars and likes to make varrrooooom sounds with them. He also seems to like the "choo-choo" sounds of the trains (the few) that we have. Plus he doesn't have a lot of boyish toys. Let's see, what other excuses can I make for this purchase? He seemed to liked the crane. Especially liked swinging it around.....
while making noises like "gshhhhhh" before well, letting go and hitting his mother on her shoulder. I gotta watch out for that crane.

My attempt to try to get a picture of them together.
"Sit down by sissy, Lucas. Sit down.""Yes, it is a camera."
"Wait, where are you going? No, stay, Bubby."
Ahhhhhh (long sigh). "Yes, camera. Don't touch." And that was the end of the train photo shoot. He was more interested in the camera than the train set. I just hope I don't see a camera the next time I go to Walmart.

I was able to snap this picture of him while preparing for the Spongebob Squarepants song. "Oooooo." If you've never heard it, consider yourself blessed.
Finally a picture with both of them. Together. With their eyes open. And looking at the camera.
We finally resumed our after dinner walks despite the heat. Goodness it is so hot. Seems like it would start cooling off but I think the temp ramps up the hour or two before the sun goes down just in time for our walks.
Now if we could just find a stroller with a spot for me, preferably one where I could lay down.
