Today was a long day, really long since both kids were up at 6:30 and ready to go. We had breakfast and I spent the morning cleaning the kitchen, the entire kitchen. It started with the stovetop and went from there. And after cleaning, you should of seen the mess that was my living room. That's what happens when you leave your kids unattended. So, what's the point? I guess if I can only have one clean room in my house, I want it to be the kitchen.
Grace was happy to help me mop. That girl loves to mop which really means she likes to get water all over the floor. That's a 3 year old for you. These next few photos are really blurry. My camera has not been the same since that fateful fall.
Notice the pool of water at her feet.
She is so proud.
Her favorite part, pushing the mop up and down.
After cleaning the kitchen we decided to start a craft. Last week I bought some wooden pegs to make into peg dolls. I've painted a few but I thought Grace might have fun decorating some with markers not paint (thank god, we didn't try paint). And if there are markers around then Lucas will come a runnin'.
I think I overestimated Grace's ability to color on something small and round. She was getting quite frustrated but didn't want me to help and didn't want to do anything else. Poor baby.
She tried really hard and here are the results. Lucas's is the far left, then mine and Grace's are the two on the right. My favorite is the 5 eyed purple one.

Going........
Gone! Zzzzzzzzzz. No, he didn't take a nap in the high chair, I carried him upstairs to bed.
And Grace decided that she'd catch some zzzz's at the table too.
Silly girl. Just as an aside, I do brush that girl's hair but somehow it ends up a mess.
Here's his artwork. He actually got a hold of one of the pegs and colored it's "head" orange. He had so much fun with the markers. He doesn't color this much with crayons but with markers he goes crazy. You should have seen my arm (and his toes).
After the fun craft (I'm being sarcastic), it was time for lunch. Lucas had a delicious combination of pizza, ham and banana. He was really tired because he didn't take a morning nap.
Going.......And that was Friday at least until lunch. I didn't mention the trip to Central Market where I lost my wallet for about 5 minutes (it runs in my family since both my mom and sister have lost their wallets in the last 2 weeks. Luckily I found mine, or a Central Market employee found it). I also didn't mention the trip to Walmart with my mom, or making homemade nutty buddies, or having my sister over for grilled salmon.
See how I spare you by not including everything we did today?
Well, I'm off to bed. I get to sleep in late tomorrow. Yippee.
