I'm just a puppet

Our activity for today was puppets. First, we started out with lunch bags and decorated them with markers, sequins and googly eyes.
Lucas woke up in the middle of our project, so we let him join in. I try to save "marker time" for when he naps because he loves markers. Loves taking off the lids, loves coloring the table, loves coloring the carpet and loves running around the family room with an uncapped marker (a true nightmare)."Hey, where did all the markers go?"Grace's finished puppet. He's thrilled to be here, folks.
Lucas having a short, incoherent conversation with the puppet. They got a long quite well.
After we made the puppets, I was sitting on the floor and noticed that the table was the perfect height to take a picture using the timer. Since I'm usually the one behind the camera, I thought this would be a good opportunity to get in the picture. It only took 15 shots to get this. Not bad.
So you didn't think it would be enough to just make puppets out of paper bags, did you? You must not know me very well because I have to go overboard on everything.
We had to expand and move on to sock puppets or should I say I had to. So after a quick trip to Walmart (of course), some felt and a hot glue gun, a sock puppet was born. He is still unnamed but became a fast favorite with Grace. Lucas didn't like him too much and wouldn't come near me when I had it on. Not looking too good for future pictures with Santa and the Easter bunny.
He kinda has a crazed look about him, no?
Grace and her new friend. Who needs preschool when you've got puppets? (ummm, mommy)
So that's it. My mind is racing with thoughts of dog puppets, shark and alligator puppets and oh, what about an elephant or a turtle puppet? Don't try to stop me.
So if you see my husband walking around without socks on, you'll know why.
