What we do when Grace is in school

I know that I've posted a lot about what Grace and I do when Lucas is napping. So it's only fair that Lucas gets his moment in the spotlight. With Grace going to school three times a week, I'm sure there will be more of this to come.

His favorite thing right now is "water play" more like "water mess" to me. Since it's been raining the last few days we decided to bring it inside. I thought the bathtub would be the safest place. Hmm, let's see, which one is bigger.
"Fill 'er up, Mommy." After doing this for about 30 minutes, I figured maybe this wasn't the best idea. I had to spend my time sitting on the toilet filling his cups over and over while he poured them into the other cups and the bathroom floor. If he's gonna make a mess anyway, I thought at least I should be able to get something done too, so.....
We moved downstairs to the kitchen and his play sink. Now he can fill his own cup and mommy can unload the dishwasher and.....
get some stuff ready for when Grace gets home. She specifically asked if we could please make cookies when she got home from school. Honest. How could I say no? Besides, it was raining.
Lucas helped me get rid of the "extra" chocolate chips. Have you ever seen chocolate chip drool before? It's the best.And before we knew it, it was time to pick up Grace and our fun was over. Next time, we hope to take a nap.
