We got some rain today (again). Grace got so excited when she heard it coming down. I told her we could go outside and "splash-splish" like Piggie and Gerald (characters in a new book we got yesterday at the library about two friends who make the best out of a rainy day). What a coincidence!
At first a little timid, with umbrella and flip flops.
Then a full out rain dance sans umbrella and flip flops.
Hopping and skipping.
Hooray for rain!!! Can you tell that it hasn't rained in a while? (ok, so it did rain yesterday but
before that it hadn't rained in quite some time.)
Bubby thought he'd give it a try. I love how he bends his head down as soon as he feels the rain.
So surprised that he actually go out into it.
No dancing, skipping or hopping for him, just sweeping. He's no nonsense (and no relation--ha!).
So sad to say good-bye to the rain. I think he's just really upset to say good-bye to the broom. Strange boy. Hope everyone else enjoyed the rain. I did because now I don't have to water the grass tomorrow (or more accurately, I don't have to feel
guilty about
not watering the grass tomorrow)!
