What's been keeping me busy

I'm just now catching up from the last 3 weeks. Besides the usual things that keep me busy, I've been working on a Halloween calendar that had to be finished by the first of October or else. I actually got the idea from Pottery Barn kids. I saw the calendar in one of their catalogues, and after seeing the price figured I could make it much cheaper. And I did if you don't consider how much time it took me to make. It would have been faster if I could have sat down for an entire weekend and worked on it but, well, that kind of thing doesn't happen when you have 2 small children. I thought it turned out okay. Definitely, some things I would change next time. "Next time?" was Steve's reply when I told him that. I meant next Halloween. I mean I don't have time to redo this whole thing right now, do I? Do I? Nooooo, besides I still have monsters and witches and candy corn to make to fill the pockets once the candy is gone.
Just to give you the scale of the thing.

A closer view.
I made small pumpkins and ghosts to put into the pockets after the treats have been taken and still have some other things left to make as I mentioned above. It hasn't been as huge a hit as the school countdown calendar. I'm already thinking Advent calendars.
But first......
We haven't gotten through Halloween yet. This is the next project that might keep me from being a timely blogger. Don't be surprised if there are no posts followed by a huge flurry of posts a week after Halloween. Until then, keep your fingers crossed.
