Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans day to all the veterans out there. Enjoy a meal at Applebee's if you can! I'd load up on yummy food but alas there are just not enough points in the day. Ho hum!
I thought I'd share some pictures from my days in Kuwait 5 years ago! I'm not sure that anyone other than Steve as seen these. Hard to believe that #1 I was ever in the Navy and #2 that I was deployed. Weird. My favorite picture was the one with Sadam's head. Could you recognize him? It's my favorite because it was the last picture before I got to come home. His head greeted you on your way through customs.

I celebrated today by catching up on my blog. Finally. F--I--N--A--L--L--Y! I told you to expect a flurry of posts after Halloween was over. I just bet you didn't think (or cared) that it would take me this long to catch up. Hope you enjoyed them up until now. I make no promises that my tardiness will end here. After all, I'm gearing up for Christmas and plan to make several homemade gifts. Eek. We'll see how that goes. Plus, I'm in the process of starting up a dork, I mean craft blog. Ha! I'm not sure if you know it but I have a craft obsession that I just can't control. I hope to come out of the craft closet in a blaze of glory. A girl can dream, right?

Happy Belated Halloween Grandma

We took the kids to my Grandma's so she could see them in their Halloween costumes. I took this opportunity get some more pics of Lucas in his costume. This time he wore the hat! Of course he was asleep but I'll take what I can get.Cute, huh?
Walking up and down the steps. My Grandma has the perfect railing for a 19 month old.
A better picture of them together in their costumes.
And I even got a picture of him awake with the hat on. My Mom just had to restrain his hands. Needless to say, it didn't stay on long.

Fun in Fredericksburg

We took a trip to Fredericksburg with my parents as part of my Mom's retirement weekend. A nice little getaway. And look what I got! The last of about 10 shots. So cute. See sometimes (when the moon is in its 12th house) they are sweet to each other AND I get a picture of it.Grace on the John Deere stool outside one of the shops.
A pretty but scary fountain. Lucas was determined to go swimming with those fish.
The best part of the trip besides that picture and getting to spend time with my family was that I found a great little fabric shop. Such cute fabric. I had to buy some a yard of Christmas fabric with cats on it. I can't wait to go back!
